  • Weeeee, jury duty. Yep, did it all day Monday and all day today, back tomorrow at 9 am for more fun. I can't tell you anything about the case till after it is done, but I will have things to tell.

Sunday, while the kids were with Gene, Joe and I went to the Ren Faire. Joe surprised me by insisting we both get costumes there. So this is what we ended up with:

    Here is Lord Joe

    And Lady Jane

The outfits are beautiful and fun to wear, but oh man, when it starts to get warm, you die in them! I was gonna smack the next person to ask me if I was hot in the outfit.

We went by the house today, during my lunch break and they are almost done laying the wood floor in the living room and dinning room. Next is the downstairs bedroom (my craft area!) It is really looking great. They are also painting the final coat of white paint on the outside, covering all the mistakes, stains and missed spots. Oh and they have finally started repair work on the cabinets they installed! Woohoo!

Friday we are supposed to see the landscape people to see the plan they have drawn up and see if it suits our budget and wishes. I am hoping I will be done with jury duty by then.

This week the girls are taking the state tests to see where they are in their skills, so there is no nightly homework. Needless to say, they are both very happy about the no-homework part.

23 days till we can move into the new house!

  • Woo! So exciting about the house, and the Ren Faire costumes look great!

Is that the one up here in San Dimas? I think I want to go once before it leaves.

  • Beautiful costumes!  You both look great in them.

Very exciting about the house....I know you are counting the days.

    I will see you soon.

    Love, Mom

  • Awsome costumes!

  • Cool outfits!  I just love that stuff!  Not enough to wear it, mind you, but I still think it's cool.   :)    Have two ren faires this month, hoping to get to them both!

  • I am very impressed with the outfits.  I bought clothes at a Ren Faire, but it was only a pair of pirate pants.  I don't think I have them anymore.  It's been years since I have been to a Ren Faire.

I hope your girls pass their tests with flying colors!

  • I haven't been back here in a while... but wanted to comment on all the house pictures, BE-OO-TI-ful!!!!
