Boy did it rain last night! Buckets and buckets!! We even had thunder and lightening. It was a very impressive opening act for the first day of winter! Unfortunately it also means we will not be going to Legoland today. It is far too cold and wet. Gene and I are hoping they will re-set the employee appreciation day and we will still be able to take the girls later. He had to still go into work but is hoping they will close the park today and send him home.
Since we can't do Legoland I will take the girls over to the library for story and craft time this morning, they always enjoy that. Then I thought I would get out some construction paper and let them make Christmas cards to give to Daddy.
I will also make my annual breakfast bear claws for Christmas, either today or tomorrow. They are very yummy but they take forever to make and I hate cutting up all the sticky dates and cherries for the filling, it is so messy!
Ack, enough of our cold computer room. I am off to parts of the house that have heating!!

Have fun cooking!! And I know you'll have a good day.. I miss the library..
Bear Claws - yummy. I love Christmasy food at Christmas time - its a comfort thing.
I don't think they're going to close the park today.
I haven't done a bit of holiday baking this year. I planned some cookies for home and mini-loaves for coworkers. It will all wait until I have more energy. *hugs* to you. We got your packages. Did you get the ones from us? One for the kids from Smarter kids.com and one to you and Gene?
Mrs Pete has been baking. yummmmm.
The web site you did is very good. OK very very good!!

I knew it had rained but I didn't know how hard. I always sleep best when it is raining. I did wake briefly and could hear the rain, but it quickly put me back to sleep again. I like it to rain during the night.

Can you e-mail me a bear claw? Wow, I just realized you having been doing those goodies for over 20 years!
Wow, you've been making bear claws for 20 years? I bet they are good!
