  • Today the girls are having Valentine's parties at school, since tomorrow is a school holiday. Last night they both addressed cards and we attached a Valentine's Day pencil onto each one as a little gift. Most kids do candy, but I figured there would be more then enough candy. The girls also have a four-day weekend, off Friday and Monday, for President's day weekend.

I am off work today, a mental health day. Sometimes you just need those. I have been so tired. I think my blood iron is down, so I am upping my daily supplement. It is a problem after gastric bypass surgery, the absorption of iron is hard now. I took a long 4 hour nap this morning, then cooked up some stewed beef for dinner. It takes several hours to simmer, so it is simmering now. Finally I cooked a loaf of homemade banana nut bread, which should make Gene and Becca very happy.

This evening I hope to cut out the thin windows for the dollhouse I am working on. It is very close to finished, but I have not worked on it since the last blog. Heh, I am never at a lose for projects to do! I am hoping for a mellow evening, since everyone is off tomorrow and there is nothing we have to do.

I took a career test yesterday, it said my ideal job would be an architect! Wow, I had never thought of that, it does sound like a fun way to make a living, mixing art, logic and a dollhouse sort of mentality. Hmm, perhaps I will have to find a way to return to college and follow that idea!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Hugs!

  • Architecture would rock.  I love to build things.  Unfortunately, I just don't get math.  At all.  Not even a little bit.  I think that's sorta important to being an architect!

So... I guess I will stick with corrections.  For now.

  • I could see you as an architect.  I could really use a mental health day.  Maybe this weekend will help.

  • Hope you're feeling better today!

  • Wow, an architect is so you.  How did we all miss that?

I hope to bake some banana bread while I am home on my long weekend.

    Love, Mom

  • Architect does sound like a cool job for you with your creative side. I think the pencil idea on the Valentines was very clever. People will remember it more because it was different from the candy, and they'll remember the thoughtfulness long after Valentine's Day as they use their pencils.
