Here we are, another week along. Happy Monday to you, hope the week treats you well.
Megan is doing much better after saying home from school on Thursday and Friday. I guess she just had a cold. What is the difference between a cold and the flu? Do you only get a fever with the flu? If so, I guess she had the flu. Either way, she is back to her normal self now.
Becca went to a birthday party at Boomers on Saturday, a place with video games, bumper boats, a giant jungle-gym/habitral thing and mini golf. Megan went with me to drop off Becca - I planned to do something with Megan while Becca was at the party, but the mom ended up asking Megan to stay. It seems her son is in Megan's kindergarten and was eager to have another kid his age. Both girls had a blast and won enough tickets to each come home with plastic vampire teeth! Ick!
I worked more on my little dollhouse, hoping to be done so I could post pictures, but I still have work to complete. Tiny "glass" windowpanes to install, shutters, flower boxes and then the landscaping outside. I still have glue stuck to finger tips and hits of paint. No one will ever accuse me of being a soft, gentle lady. LOL!
I also went to Lowes and bought a huge sheet of peg board to hang in my workroom to put my tools on. Mmmm, tools! Now if I can just keep Gene from "borrowing" them when he is too lazy to find his own. They drift off into his stuff and I never see them again.
Sunday, Gene, the girls and I went over to their school and took our bikes and rode on the playground for a few hours. The girls love it, lots of even flat pavement and no cars to worry about. There was a rubber ball left outside so we played a game of "hit the ball". On the way back we stopped at Dairy Queen for an ice cream. It was a lovely day with picture perfect weather.
So back to work today, catching up on things and hoping it will be a mellow week with no emergencies. The girls have a short week, with Friday and next Monday off for President's day. Gene will be home with them, I have to work. I need to sit down and do Valentines with them tonight or tomorrow so they are all ready for their parties on Thursday. Oh boy, more candy!
I wish a great week to all! Hugs!

From what I understand the flu makes you achy too.

You ought to take endless driving vacations with us and then you could red out lots more states. It's so much fun.
You have been in Rhode Island when you were little. We used to go visit your father's cousin in Providence. Do you remember those pictures of you riding on a little train (in my arms) when you were a baby? They were taken at Roger Williams Park in Providence.
It sounds as if you had a nice family weekend. Have a good week.
Love, Mom
CANDY! I hope I get some good candy for Valentine's day!
Hi Jane and fam!
I just spent a long time catching up on you all by way of your blogs. The girls are sooooooo big. Time flys. Miriam just turned 13. England sounds great. Have a wonderful Tuesday. - Michele
