Mini making yesterday was fantastic, wonderful and lots and lots of fun! I worked very hard and got about 3/4 of the house built. I am hoping to get some more work in tonight. If you want to see what a real Mimi's Cafe looks like (what our instructor modeled the building after), here is a photo of one I found on their website.
I found a cool website, neat craft projects by Mary Engelbreit and all free! Here are a couple samples to give you an idea! I hope to do the cottage cross stitch in miniature for the wall of my dollhouse.

Oh right, bet you want the actual website. Here you go: http://www.maryengelbreit.com/WorkShop/CraftProjects.htm. Check out her cute selection of computer wallpaper too, under Workshop/Downloads.
Okay, finally, in the catagory of "How Does that Work", try this:
Hold up your right foot and point your toes. Make clockwise circles with your toes. Now, with your right hand while still rotating your foot, write the number 6 in the air. Your foot will suddenly change to counter-clockwise circles. Don't believe me? Try it? Then try it again to see if you can stop it once you have seen it in action. Weird huh?
Will post more mini pics as soon as I can take some pictures of my projects.

That was a bit strange.
The body is an interesting machine.
*hugs*
The toe rotate and number 6 with the finger thing was on our local news (since there is usually not enough local news to fill the time slot). I tried it, and on the second try I was able to do it (although not perfectly). Nevertheless, lets hear it for hedgehogs!'
Love, Mom
So OK, I'm reading this in the office. What will people think if I'm sky writing "6" in the air while making circles with my toes?
Oh, yeah, it's me. Nobody's going to notice strange behavior from me!!!
Pete
PS: Yikes! That's wierd.
Ok the finger/toe thing was tougher than I thought it would have been.
Cute minis!
