  • I'm tired. There is just a lot going on, physically, emotionally, and mentally. But weeks like this make you appreciate the quiet and what life can be about. One more day and I get a weekend, thank goodness for that.

Becca went to the dentist yesterday and had 4 of her adult teeth sealed to help prevent cavities. Apparently kids get 4 adult molars around the age of 6. I didn't know that. I thought you had to lose a baby tooth to get an adult tooth. Guess I learned something new. She should get another set of molars around age 12, and then finally her wisdom teeth, if they behave.

Our clever boy pet rats figured out how to push open the little door that there food dish fits into. One day Gene came home to find all four of them proudly sitting on the floor, playing. They didn't try to run off, they just wanted to have some fun! We have since made the doors much harder to open and shut. Naughty boys! Luckily the girls were not reachable by the boys while they were playing.

Megan learned a cute song in school while they studied the letter M. It is sung to the tune of  "This Old Man"

Mimi Mouse, Mimi Mouse, has good manners in the house. When she sips her milk she never makes a mess; mud pies never stain her dress.

I totally cleaned the craft part of the laundry room and once again I have a work area and can get to my things. I have been happily working on partially finished projects when I can find a spare moment. I have way too many things in stages of partial completion. I want to get some done, so I can move on to new things! And yes, I promise pictures when things do get completed.

Speaking of minis, the San Diego mini show is this weekend. I have never gone, something else has always been going on, but I am hoping to go out with the girls this weekend. The lady who will be teaching my mini class on Monday will be there as well. She mailed photos of the cafe we will be making and it looks really cool. Two story, high, open beamed ceilings, brickwork, very charming. It is supposed to be a cafe, but I think it could be done as a home as well, or a pub, it has an almost English look to it. I will post her pictures as soon as possible, so you can at least see what I am working on.

Anyhow, I best get back to work, I have a lot to do. Hope everyone is well!

Interesting about the molars, I did not know that.

  • Nice to read that you're still doing your minis. Have fun this weekend!

  • Hugs, I hope you can go to the mini show.  That would be really nice for you.

  • It's an embroidery kit, not counted cross stitch, of a kimono in pinks and golds.  Around it is a border done in gold.  It is by Sunset.

  • I think you could all use a relaxing, laid-back type weekend.

    Love, Mom

  • How cute about the rats getting out but not running away. They are lucky Oreo didn't decide he wanted in on the playtime, yes?
