Nine days and counting! And this week is a short week, so in a bit more than two hours I am on my weekend! Yeah, a day for just Gene and I tomorrow. No appointments, no meetings, no friends visiting. It seems like ages since we have had that. I intend to make the most of it.
I heard today at work that Mary Kay will be off work at least another month, perhaps more. I am not surprised, this is exactly how it went last year. The only difference now is that she has used up all her long term disability pay. It will be interesting to see if that motivates her to get back any sooner.
Christmas gifts to the family have been sent out to both my sisters and their families. For once I got them out early enough I didn't have to pay a zillion dollars to get them there on time. Yeah me! Boxes have also been coming in, one for each girl from Bethpanda and her husband as well as a big box from Sarah's family.
I really need to try to get our Christmas tree decorated tonight, or there will hardly be any time to enjoy it before we go.The cats are adoring it, as cats do. I think they like to pretend they are wild forest cats for a few weeks while it is up.
Anyhow, that is about all the news for now. Nothing real earthshaking, just lots of getting ready! Hugs and hope everyone has a great, upcoming weekend.

Wow! That trip is sneaking right up! I didn't realize it hadn't gotten so close! (Guess I lost track of time... which probably means that I should also think about starting my Xmas shopping, eh??? LOL...)

Shortly after I put up my tree, Maggie got very excited and started running around and around it. She might still be running around it, but then Pal decided to run around it with her. Naturally she deceided that he was going to eat her alive, so she stalked out of the room. She has gotten very good at stalking out of rooms.
Enjoy your day off. I am taking tomorrow off as a vacation day. I just have so much that needs to be done.
