I've Got Mail
While checking my mail this morning, I found a letter in my inbox from Bianca! In the letter she said she found my website at GeoCities and that she liked my design and layout. She also told me my writing style was suited to weblogs and asked if I had heard of such things. Finally she ended the letter by thanking me for making such an interesting site.
I am giggling so hard at this point. Not because I already have a weblog here, but because the site she was referring to on GeoCities has not been a true site for well over a year now. I moved the entire site to a private ISP back a year ago.
So Ms. Bianca has no way to know what my layout looks like, or my writing style. But I guess she would be happy to know I have a weblog. I wonder if she knows I worked at GeoCities for two years?

Surely, you know by now that Bianca is a fictional forager for Xanga who gleans from existing (old or new) websites and sends notes to their owners encouraging them to visit Xanga... a type of advertising...

Yes cbrent, I am aware of that. I was just laughing at what a poor form mail program they had set up, complete with fake compliments.

Yes, I have/had serveral sites at GeoCities, including the one listed here. The one "Bianca" found was an old one I closed under the user name of dragon_dreamer. If you go to http://www.geocities.com/dragon_dreamer you will find it is no longer.

I'm pretty sure bianca knows I'm here. She's never sent me a letter inviting me. Do you suppose I'll get one asking me to leave and go back to geocities? From bianca I mean, not the rest of them.
oh no! it is as we suspected - bianca's on another recruitment drive! her site dates have been updated. she's at it again!!!!!
I saw that the dates on her page we updated to make the old content look new. Come on guys... get a new patsy for recruitment. Jeepers.
*sigh* I can't believe they're running out the same old tired lure! And I find it odd that I have three geocities sites and have never heard from Bianca. What am I, chopped liver?
Back in December, the list mom of a list I'm on with a fanfic site on geocities got the original Bianca letter, and freaked because she figured it was her online stalker showing up again. She shared it with me, and I, on the other hand, checked out Xanga and voila...
