Back to Work
Today is my first day back at work since my surgery. I got in early and am the only one hear so far as I try to catch up on e-mail and figure out what I missed out on.
I feel nervous, not only is today my first day back, but today is my first day really doing the testing I was hired to do. We have nine days to test and debug a software prototype and I will be very busy. I want to do it well and live up to the expectations they have of me.
Nothing is defined well on paper at this point, it is mostly in the heads of the programmers. So it is like a game to try to figure out as much as I can, as fast as possible. I think today is going to be a long, intense day.
